4 inch lift ??

Post by 81 rangie »

I need some new shockers and coils for my 81 2 door rangie, and was wondering if it's possible to fit a 4 inch lift kit without to many hassles. It already has a 2 inch body lift, and 2 in the springs. With this set up is it possible to fit 35 inch tyres. any other problems associated with fitting 35 inch tyres

Dont bother going any higher unless you want to spend big bucks getting it to ride/ drive ok, just cut the gaurds add flares and off you go.
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.

I have just finished installing a 2" body lift (already had a 2" spring lift) and 35x11.5" tyres. I will be testing it out on Monday so i will let you know haw it goes. I already have the guards cut & flared and there is no way you will fit 35's without doing this.
Thanks,

Adam

I agree you will have to cut the guards anyway, a 3 inch lift could be an option also but you are pushing the limits. Give me a pm if you need any info. 3 inch lift is same price as 2 inch lift as far as springs are concerned.

you need to cut out as much as you can
your gearing will be awful
and if your next question is going to be what you can do to change it all...
