OK, my LPG is giving me the $hits.
1. Backfiring - what the? - Not to mention my shattered air filter box, which I STILL can't find a second hand replacement (help!)
2. Not starting when cold & if stalled I need to switch to fuel to restart.
On my previous rangie (78) the stalling problem still happened, but this morning crap never did. It loved the cold, no choke, just go. Damn EFI
Any tips I should give to my LPG service guru>?:D

LPG Problems

Has this just happened all of a sudden or has the your economy been falling and running roughly and then it did this ?
It could be simply bad gas - I have had this before, backfire a few times in the morning (only little ones) and then have to run on fuel till the car warms up then ok back on gas.
Did you have a backfire arrestor ? - mabye you should fit one ? do you have a flap AFM or a hot wire, if you had flapper it will be badly hurt if it the airbox shattered, you may have to buy another.
How old are the plugs, leads, rotor cap etc ? If you have a bad set of leads, or cap it will fire another plug in the wrong order and cause a backfire or two - I would replace all those bits and pieces fires (yeah I know it is $150 ) and from there I would try again after making those changes, gap the plugs as per the manufacturers instructions for LPG.
Let us know how you go

Hmmm, some interesting points Tom. I've just had LR put in new plugs to a gap we talked about here.
I'll look into that arrestor and the running setup. I don't think it's the gas itself, because I have been to different shops.

You may need a new seal & diaphragm Kit for your converter.
I change it every 60000 to 70000 k
Also try to fill it up with 100% propane mutch better for your engine
