alternator regulator questions.

Post by cplux »

just wondering how possible it is to make an alternator regulate higher by changing regulators.

my current alternator is a bosch jobby with a 14volt reg attached part no 9 191 067 041, it seems to only reg to a max of about 13.7v (tried all different excitation globes etc), I changed to the reg from a corrolla alternator part no 9 190 067 005 and it regulated to 14.1 ish volts, I am after above at least 14.3V aftermarket computer/efi woes does anyone know how the bosch part no's work?. The alternator is a 120 amp one

Cheers
Craig
