XJ snorkels ANYONE done em????

Post by Webbie »

I'm looking at putting a snorkel on the missus XJ but not sure which one to go with .The air flow or the safari, they both flow the same ,so any opinions :!: :?: :?: :?: :)
Lockers or Knockers ,both will make for fun.

gtwebbie, I've got the safari on mine and it has served me well. In saying that I have a couple of issues:

1. the safari takes up a fair bit of room on the side of the XJ and when i put on the bushwackers I had to trim the flares around the snork. I dont think you have to trim the air-flow snork.

2. the route the flexi-hose takes under the guard is to long and goes through the front of the airbox, which for me is a pain as the tyres rub on the hose at full flex(i'm running 34's). with a bit of trimming you should be able to get the hose through the side of the airbox and cut down the length of hose and stop the rubbing

cheers

All points noted am going the air flow as it goes in the back of the filter box and just plug the front hole. and $300 IS BETTER THAN $500 WITH THE SAME FLOW RATES :D Cheers
