What sort of driving is involved, and where is it held?

held at Landcruiser Mtn Park in a contained area, this comp is hard core.

there is 3 or 4 set tracks and 1 hill climb, the set tracks are about 100 to 300 mtr long with natural or man made obsticles no time limit but you must finish. there is penalies for wheel spin, touch bunting, loss of forward movement and rock stacking, there are more rules but this covers the generall idea of the event. good driver - navigator teams do well here.

the comp starts at 12 saturday and runs to 5 - 5.30 pm for a short break and continues at 7.00 pm to 10.30 - 11.00 pm, sunday starts the hill climbs at 9.00 am finishing with presentation at about 1.00pm.

hope this is enough info.

Mark Rielly was at the last one and put it in the same category as the nissan trials with out the water.

Come out to this one if you can guys. It's awesome fun, no matter what sort of vehicle you drive. Me and my truck will be there again, as the official safety response team.
The tracks are all hella-fun, but I DO reccomend if you do the "Vertical Assault", you leave your brains back at camp. (you'll have no need to carry them for this stage. ;) )
Seriously, Glen (v8grunt) always puts a sh*tload of work into the Shourtcourse, and he never dissapoints the competitors or the spectators. So, support him, and help the series to hopefully grow into to a major fixture on the Australian off-road calander.

See ya's there....
Simon.
