okat, are the auto and manual Trasmission crossmembers the same between all model GQ's?

Ive done 2 auto to manual conversions now.
The d/shafts are the same, the xmembers and rear mounts are the same.
The transfers are possibly the same.
You need the removable floor plate above the gear lever, they are different.
The flexplate/flywheel bolts are the same

Yes they seem to be. We swapped a 5 speed manual in place of the auto box last night on a LWB GQ. Everything bolted up fine.

man i was thinking of doing it the other way around, auto insted of manuel....

When trying to get a new x-member for my GU auto I looked at a manual one and it was different (but only minor, enough to not allow it to work I would have thought). How come. I thought the GQ and GU chassis were near enough identical.

Our PTO winch no worky without the 5-spd manual....otherwise yeah, the Auto would be the horn!!! ;)
