hi all

i am looking to update my mq patrol with a later model motor like a rb30?.

is there any difficulty with the exchanging of the motors?

will the bellhousing fit??

any other suggestions??

unfortunatly no other engine ( straight 6 cylender ) will bolt in anything close to easily expect L28 mq motor and its worse than a P40 :?

U could get an injected petrol L28 from a z series nissan and it would go in easily enough with bellhousing switches etc.....

short of that mate, id be going a V8.

no one makes the adapters etc from the older motors to the newer 6 cylender ones, it would be a one off and big $$$$

Then you're issue is getting it to mate up on the transfer case end. :(

Plenty of options if you're replacing both engine and gearbox - from V6 commodores and EFI 4 litre falcon (cheap options) to v8's... but remember getting everything together at the transfer case end then becomes your issue.

Dellow automotive has a adaptor for the ford 6cyl by memorie and thats the only one i know of. :armsup:
Its not cool, unless it's got boost :)
