wa night owl event for 2005

Post by duncan »

Talking to the guys at ORE the other day and night owl has been told to move on from the Bullsbrook area so the guys are approaching WA Limestone for permission to use the quarry area if this was to happen Wa will for the first time get a class area for the comp to be held in with lots of natural rock formations that will blow most people away with a small amount of work this area could be as good as anything in Aus but if this gose ahead and people are asked to pitch in and help to get it of the ground people we need to put up our hands and go help or WA will for ever never have any real compations

I'll give a hand. Keep us updated. Is there any chance of a winch challenge event to be held there. I'll give my left ball bag for a winch challenge in Perth :D :D . Might be going over east in september though, do you have any dates??

Cheers

What people should be doing is either getting onto the nightowl web sight or ringing ORE and letting them no that your enfusiastic about the comp and that your prepeared to help build the course and maybe marshall .

This is what stopped there from being more comps this year in WA because Allan Crane said there was just no support and he couldnt do all the work with the small amount of people that put their hands up when asked.

As for a winch challenge there are spots you would have to winch if they plan the course correctly and yes the poroperty that they are trying to get hold of is the quarry area near Jarrahdale that WA limestone own.As far as i no they are approching both WA Limestone and the Jarrahdale Shire to get things started.

if this is goin to go ahead, i think it would be a pretty hard core area for a comp and u probably wont get alot of the stockers entering, but would make excellent viewing for the spectators.

It's in toodyay I believe. From what ive heard its going to be full on. Sounds good. Now all they need to do is time it and make it more interesting. It would make it alot faster and spectators would love 2 watch

And it needs to be 2 days not bloody 3.
3 days is really pushing it even if the tracks are alot longer than the gymkana course.
