ill speak from experience with rodshop - rod from rodshop doesnt work there anymore.. they have a new owner - greg so havent had experience with him,, but back with rod for a second - what a cranky c*nt... always whinging and always in a bad mood... but he did answer questions i asked.. and some parts of his kits were difficult to fit.. but its just a matter of makint hem fit..
marks - no experience with him yet.. im sure others will mention a few bad experiences.. but then again...

Marks is far easier i have found, they have the full kits with all engine mounts and parts and instructions etc....
rodshop makes very good parts, i run a bellhousing from them and its very well made and cheaper than the marks kit if u can make the other little bits and peices yourself.....
also dont over look dellow automotive, havent had experiance with these guys but have only heard good things also.

If you need a kit I am about to post one up for sale - its complete for the turbo pattern 5 litre holden and comes with bell housing and clutch and adaptors etc etc oh n a set of pace maker extractors - looking for about $400 for the lot. I had a 350 in mine and only got the 5 litre kit form a truck I wanted for the spoa set up in it...
PM if keen. Good conversion but - holden motors well good hey.... wouldn't mind a ford one but. Oh n its a Marks kit sorry - not Dellow - Dellow used ot be goot for celica 5 speed conversions on road cars etc but never heard much good abou the patrol kits - apart form 4.1 ford conversion kit.... screams apparently! and fits well.

Castlemaine Rodshop.
I've been using Rods gear for around 15 years and never had an issue with any of his stuff. Infact we've often exchanged ideas and some modifications have resulted with his "kits" because of our conversations.
It has always ben an absolute pleasure to deal with Rod and he has gone out of his way for me on several occasions including late night emergency runs up to Castlemaine ........
The Bellhousing in this kit is virtually unbreakable and has enough meat around the actual bolt flanges to be redrilled at a later stage for other motor / gearbox patterns ( Mine is drilled to take both chev & holden patterns and there is heaps of material sorounding the bolt holes....strength isnt an issue at all with this kit )
The "kits" however are not a complete setup and the buyer is often required to manafacture some of the parts like engine mounts. This does have its benifits tho in that there is a huge amount of money to be saved when compared to other makers.
Dellow Automotive
I have used a few of their kits and found them to be very good, my only issue was with the actual strength of the bellhousing ( they were quite weak when compared to the rodshop bellhousing ), as a result one particular bellhousing did break up around the gearbox conection area, it was replaced without question & I modified the new unit to add strength where it was lacking to avoid further breakage. ( breakage was quite common with this particular bellhousing design )
Dellow did use the Rodshop bellhousing for a while with their kits while the strength issues were fixed. I belive they have a much stronger unit these days although I have not yet seen one of the improved units.
Marks Addaptors
I havent had a great deal of experiance with their kits as most ppl opt for the far cheaper kits from either the Rodshop or Dellow....... their price seems to be double and then some in comparision.
Their kits are excelent for the guy who just has a set of spanners and zero ability to make odd bits for himself, they are very complete right down to the nuts n bolts.
Of the units I have dealt with their strength is good and the design is also quite good if not a little bit excesive in the weight department.
My biggest problem is the spare parts issue, much of their stuff is a one of design and cant be scorced form elsewhere, this means if somethings breaks then you may be up for an expensive replacement part that may take a week or three to be specially manafactured, whereas the other kit makers utilise much of the genuine original parts making spares an easy option.
