GM or LR Tie Rod Joints

Post by Jay »

Hi

I really want to upgrade my tie rod and drag link as I bend them every other trip in addition I busted the rear tie rod balls twice already...

For the tie rod Should I use the GM balls or stick to LR balls with a stronger tie rod metal and larger diameter that will not bend under abuse....

For the drag link I think I will retain the stock balls as they seem to felx nicely without any issues.

Appreciate your soonest feedback

either is ok.

GM one wil require drilling of the mounting hole as the bolt part of the joint is larger than the rover unit.

Nadim

your track rod has a busted weld point that cut you short twice on the trail....plus it is an empty tube
I am looking at a bent tie rod also
