A sub tank for MQ, where do they bolt up.
g'day people
I was after some information on getting a second hand sub tank, can anybody tell me where they bolt up to. As I have a LPG tank under the rear of my SWB and cant take it out, is there a sub tank that can be bolted up some where else in the car with out to many problems.. I need more mileage in case I go 4x4ing, petrol will have to do...
Thanks
Casey

If u want a second petrol tank, u could have to get one made up.
bolt it up between your rear driveshaft and the chassis on the passenger side runnin parralel to the shaft.
the only other option u have it to take the LPG tank out and out it in the back and then put the standard fuel tank back in.
screwy

why not run a second gas tank. cheap on ebay from time to time. then get it inspected if out of date. I am currently of thinking about the idea of running a couple of forklift tanks as well as my main one in my 4runner if i go straight LPG. I will ask about it tommorrow when i pick the POS up.
when i was living in bungendore the F250's there run a house cylinder up each side of the chassis
.
See colin at tony's towbar and trailers if you want to get a petrol tank made. Ask about his buggy, i rolled it
Cheers

yea no prob screwy, I was wanting a 2nd hand tank all ready done, i know patroldude had one a while ago that sat under the drivers side, but other then that i dont want to change the tank position, i could just as easy put another lpg in the rear, the problem is my dog needs the space (great dane)
I can get a tank made up at work for bugger all any way, I just diddnt want the hassel of making one.

you could also run a small 66 litre or so LPG tank along the shaft on the drivers side. they fit in perfectly with only a longer bracket section on the rear half.
same as a petrol tank a long thin one would fit in there.
passenger side not drivers.... theres a shaft there

I just spoke to patroldude (sick in bed) he said you and him are picking up a SWB next weekend, he says theres one in that, so if thats the case I may end up getting it. a fuel tank wouldnt be to bad as I could run AV Gas (if I can get it) as my SWB has had some work done on the motor, would save the pinging....LOL.. and go pretty darn hard too I might add.
