why i keep braking belts

i got a 1984 hilux 2 l motor keeps braking the fan belt
has done 3 in 4 weeks

are any of the pulleys siezed , is the belt in line with all the pulleys?
does anything smell burnt when driving'

they are in line they all spin freely bar the one thats not meant to no sounds no burrning dosent appear to be sliping only 1 off the 2 will brake then i can drive for weeks on the 1 but if i putt 2 new ones back on one will always brake

Try some genuine ones they are probably not much dearer.
You should allways run matched belts when they are pairs the same size.

does it always break the same belt? if so front or back one?

Take your belts off and see if you have a little dent or fine crack in one of the pullys.
Its not cool, unless it's got boost :)

If none of the pulleys have burs on them I would look if there is anything loose that can hit the belts, is the battery dripping acid on them when 4wding. And did you buy all the same brand of belt from the same supplier, could be a faulty batch of belts.
Have you found a broken belt, is it frayed or a clean break?

This is all assuming that you have made sure that all the pulleys are all in alignment.

how tight at you tensioning them, have you uses a striaghtedge and string line to make sure pulleys are perfectly in line,
