hilux diff ratios

Post by Choc_E »

Just wondering whether anyone knew the difference in ratios between the diesel and petrol diffs?

Does anyone know how much the axles/diff/housing weigh?

thanks
Just finished putting a V6 Holden engine in to a Volkswagen Kombi.

search is your friend. basically hiluxes have come with every diff ratio under the sun, so if you're after a specific ratio, anything between about 4.3 up to 5.7 is available from wreckers.

as for weight, no idea. 2 people of average strength can comfortably lift and carry a rear, a front is a bit more of a struggle. there is a lot of variation through the years, basically newer = heavier.
