86 4Runner Dual Fuel

Post by matt g »

Hi All,

I'm going to look at a 1986 4Runner on the weekend that's got a dual fuel setup. It's an auto transmission (I'll be doing a lot of inner city driving) and the LPG tank is mounted in the cargo space at the back. Is this a "normal" thing to do? It sortof strikes me as a tad unsafe :?

Anything I should look for / worry about?

Cheers
Matt.

yer thats ok to have it there may not have been enough room under neath for it eg a big tank

i know alot of short wheel base 4B's have them in the back cargo area

i think they drill a hole at the lowest point of the floor pan so if it does leak it will go to the lowest point and out the hole
