Hey RUFF hows that stocker lux you have in the back yard looking, i have a compass (i think that should do for navigation) and throw a winch on and we are set!!!

Got a message from some mates (competitors) on their way down yesterday. Sean Calcino has blown up the brand new turbo on Max Brown's Landie DIY90, he's limping it from Nyngan to Broken Hill. He's had a spare turbo picked up from his workshop on the Gold Coast and air-freighted to Broken Hill. Lawrie Sternbeck and Bruce Kennedy in the Hilux/Bundera also have had dramas around Nyngan, not sure what the problem is. Lawrie will be p!ssed off, as he had problems in Nyngan last year when I was travelling with them down to the OC. Last year, he cracked the head, and had to do the whole comp with the problem. Stuffed the engine. Tony Dodds hit the panic button on Thursday night as his new u-beaut diff gears may not be as strong as he hoped. Eric Parminter has the same gears in his GQ ute, and destroyed them last weekend just on a leisurley day drive. So Doddsy and Normy decided it safer to pick up a spare diff from Manni Kafantris' house on their way. He said he's prepared to carry the diff for the whole event. Other than that, all the banana benders seem to be going alright. Glen and Sam (v8grunt and StrangeRover) should arrive with the Landie in tact, as they are trailering it. Billy Lyne and Ken Rubie haven't had any dramas, and I haven't heard anything about Kym Bolton and Robert Marks or Buddha (Brent Barnes) and Danny. Jason Christensen has a new (last minute) navvy, in Andy Gerding, the president of our club (Logan Districts).
If anyone else who is either competing, or knows of anyone competing, has any stories of last minute problems or carnage, post 'em up!
Simon.

Sorry guys, I found out just before that the guys are driving, not trailering. I thought I heard Glen say on Monday that they were going to tow it.

Clay is navving for Sean Calcino in Max Brown's Landie. I'd love to be a fly inside that car! Neither guy likes to give in on their opinions.
