Just spoke to Glen the winch motor shit itself last night.

They did really well thru one section sorry forgot what its called came 2nd in time. Would've kicked arse only had to wait for 6 cars to go thru water this held them up. Apart from the winch motor everything is going well. No problems with the car

The winch motor must be a real PITA, wasn't the winch brand new just before the last ASCC? Must have been from winching out all those broken Nissans. Can they get a new one?

Sounds like they are going well, all things considered, hope they can keep it up, good luck!!!

Yeah they are waiting on a new one, just got off the phone from Glen again. It hasn't arrived yet, so they are still waiting. They had to DNF a couple of sections, but the one he really wanted to do was Pallemaca so he's pretty happy. There going to rejoin the comp when the new one is fitted.

Yeah POS, they apparently did well in the "Metal Masher" stage. Which was the hardest of the rock stages in last year's event. It's like 9km of straight out rock crawling. Nothing steep, it's pretty flat actually, you've just gotta pick lines or everything underneath the car will be destroyed.

Funny you say that because thats basicaly what they have done. They have borrowed a Highmount warn but it had a burnt out motor so Sam bought a Brand new motor for it and they will be back on track soon.

Hahaha. That'd be good advertising for T-max. All their stickers on the car, and a Warn winch bolted on the front. I wonder how Buddha and Danny's T-max is going? Although, they apparentley stripped out the insides, and put Warn gear in it.

Yeah im not sure on exactly the prob with the T-Max but getting parts for it at short notice would have been the hard thing so you either pull out or buy what you can and keep going. And Stopping Sam is like stopping a loaded freight train if he has a plan its gunna happen no matter what anyone says.

Yeah i thought he would have done something along those lines, either that or i thought he might have welded something to the driveshaft and wrapped the cable around that  thats why he's called MR BOOTIE!

I better not laugh the comp isn't over yet!

No, sorry rocknferoza. Haven't heard any news on Sean and Clay. They must have got their turbo dramas sorted out but, their name hasn't been mentioned in the cars pulled out. I'm sure they'll do well, they are both very experienced competitors who don't like giving up.
