Weight of a standard FJ40 cruiser...

Hey guys, i was wondering what the average standard weight is of a Shorty 40... i was looking at some site, and it said 3 tonne... i dont know that i want to beleive that...
Is this an accurate statement?? i dunno...

They weigh about 1.7 T and you can take off 200kg if its a soft top.

Sorry dude but there is no chance the hard top is 200kg....mabey 100kg max.

Take the roof, windows, rear barn doors, and your full size doors off and you would be well over 200kgs :cool:

I just had my troopy weighed (for engineering purposes): with spoa 60 series diffs (a few more kilos in metal, say 5-10?) 5 spd box (have to be 10kgs more than a 4spd?) added power steering, has a bullbar, no spare, spanker 35's on 8" sunny's.

(my sig pic is before spring over)

Weighed 2080kgs.

Rego papers reckon it should be 1950.

So i'd estimate yours at around 1600-1700 depending on what engine/accessories/body config you have.

Also, the troopy's GVM is 3050 (on comliance) - that may be a bit much for a shorty, but that is most likely where your 3 tonne come from.

can anyone tell me what the aggregate is for their shorty?
cause mine says its only 2045 and i think i may have exceeded that
was wondering if they are all the same?
