Fan not cutting in, is it the fan, or wiring?

Post by brad84hilux »

Guys

The fan on my hilux 4wd isn't cutting in, just wondering what the quickest / easiest way to test if its the fan itself, or if its wiring?

I've got a VN motor in it, im not sure if the fans from the VN, or the Hilux (I didn't do the conversion)

So it's an electric thermo?

The Delco computer on the VN is capable of turning a thermo on/off - do you know how your's is controlled? Easiest way to check the fan would be to connect it directly to the battery - if it works then start checking your fuses, and then the relay and wiring.
