Jeep question from a non jeep person

Post by Patroldude »

Ok - I nbever oowned a jeep but an opportunity has come up that I may be able to buy one!!!! I didn't realise they were all that affordable!!!

Just so I know I am not getting ripped off....

What is a genuine 1943 World War 2 jeep with matching numbers in running condition with no rust and good mechanicals worth? Its been modified so its got a 6 cyc ford motor in it but I am curious if this will effect valueheaps???? It has had the firewall cut to fit the 6 = I know this makes it a non genuine jeep BUT is there a suitable 4 cyc I can put in to help firewall issues and weld new firewall back in????

I am paying around $3500 for it with no rego, minimal rust, good soft top, good seat etc???? Help appreciated please

a collectable one 11k +

3500 If it is ok condition and the frame is not cracked or rusted I would say buy it

if the panels are good, engine and mechanicals are good and it looks like an original WW2 willy's/ford jeep, then you won't have any trouble selling it.
