Brake lines

I was just wondering if anybody has fitted braided brake lines to there 4x4 and what do you think of there performance on the car.

I have them on my bikes and will always have them from now on,they give heaps better feel etc but am wondering if they`d give the same feeling/feedback on a car.

we put braided lines on my old mans GU with 6" lift, replaced the longer rubber items, and the brakes improved and pedal feel is much better, will go my GQ once i can afford it,

Yep, all 6 replaced on my GU (the 2 main longer for lift) and can now lock 36" pedes up with shit pads still in. Before, was lucky if it even stopped! :shock:

For the $250 odd that it cost was well worth it.

Some people recomend against them for 4wd use because if they are hit with a stick or something they tend to tear off at the fitting where rubber ones can stretch a lot more before braking.

But I spoze if they make as much differance to brake efficiency as people say it would be worth the risk, just carry a spare rubber line.

I wasnt too sure if people used them on cars or not,i did see them advertised on a site (either BBM or snake unsure which one) and just wondered if people thought.I will look into how much they are get a set with in the next 6-12 months

my front ones are a meter long and they stop better than original items,Pacific Hose Flex at west burleigh on the gold coast do them for around $200 for the whole set.they are one one of 3 companies which have been approved by queensland transport for road registered vehicles.
