Exhaust system for TB42e- Mufflers?

Post by Kane »

Hi all, I’m in the proses of deciding what exhaust to put on my GQ swb TB42e. I have some Pace Maker extractors to smash on and was going to go a 2.5 inch system through but my main concern is what muffler to use. Rod at Unique exhausts in Bayswater showed me a few which all varied in price and loudness and I was leaning towards a straight through one and was wondering if any one else has this system and if it is too loud. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Kane.

Rod did mine, loud under power but not too bad idling around, stainless straight through.

Other option is Magna VRX style that is cheaper.

The Magna VRX muffler is made buy Luky for the performance magna, It is a free flow muffler with no obstructions internaly, but complies with the noise level ADRs.
Rod at Unique fitted one to my pacemacer system on my Gu 4.5
Performance without being too noisy

Cheers Grant.

Kane, I had a TB42 with Genie extractors and a 2.5 inch straight thru Lukey muffler, but used the standard system (i think 2 inch?), and she had a nice note, not too loud. A little more bottom end too ;)
