hey all, the clutch in the gu is starting to slip, its getting worse as i keep bumping the power up, as i want to put a intercooler on it soon and screw it up some more i better start looking at fixing this first, how much wouldi be looking for a clucth kit for an 00 td42t gu c/c and where's the best place to get one from and best (or good ) brands to get, id like a good heavy duty sort of one with out braking the bank, any help would be grreat!!

theres a safari dakin clutch kit in the forsale section

i have these in my 2 patrols .. and the comp guys use them too

I saw that but it said it was for a gq and i wasn't sure if they were the same or not, now the ad isn't up there any more :cry:

GQ and GU are the same.i can do you a heavy duty safari clutch for 650 through my clutch sponsor. let me know

I had a Daiken safari tuff clutch and it lasted 2000km did not have the clamp pressure to hold the torque.

But depends how much power you are producing or likely too.

I now run Direct Clutchers 3400 pound unit. They are in brisbane.

They are also cheeper than the Safari Tuff.
