Surely by the time you freight it to malta (or whereever you are) it would be cheaper to buy a newer style of locker. Or if you really want to save money - weld the diff centre and drive on-road with only one halfshaft.

Thats why i am looking for a used one, i would be prepared to pay the freight if the price for the locker was right. The only cheap alternative is a detroit, heard lots of bad stories about that when used on the road, so its off my list.ISUZUROVER wrote:Surely by the time you freight it to malta (or whereever you are) it would be cheaper to buy a newer style of locker. I run a permanant 4 box and the thought has crossed my mind but i guess that running on one shaft will have quirkey handling, especially when on the wet road and around some corner with a bit of right foot! You run yours like that?

No, I have a Maxi-Drive locker and love it. I have a mate who did it though when he was waiting for his maxi-drives from Mal.Tdi200 wrote:You run yours like that?

I have only ever seen about 3 of the locker you want (with my own eyes) and all were series (rover diff) models. I have never seen the salisbury version.
