Ford Power Steering Pump

Post by greg »

Hi All,

I'm looking at buying a Ford Power Steering pump to use in my sierra and I was hoping some ford owners out there might be able to tell me which models came with a Multi-V or Serpentine belt pulley on them?

The pump I'm talking about looks sort of like a teardrop with the reservior included in the pump.

Thanks in advance,
Greg

The tear drop pump is from the late XE and XF falcons and they only came with a single V-Belt pulley on them.....

None of the tear drop pumps came with a serpentine belt.

The Serpentine belt first made an appearance in the fords around the time the ED's were introduced 93-94 me thinks....

I have a ford power steering pump (teardrop shape) on my Vitara engine. Swaped the singleV pulley for a multiV. Bit of a pain to remove the old pulley. Would have been easier to start with a multiV in hind sight. Don't know which year my single came off.
