Can anyone give me any feed back on Mitsubishi Canter 4x4 trucks as an alternative to a Patrol or Landcruiser tray? Cheers.

I was thinking along the lines of a duelcab with a full size tray, maybe a bit cheaper to buy than the others. Why aren't they anygood?

As I said it depends on what you want to do with it. touring? Tuff Truck? work truck?

If your talking anything more than firetrail offroading, put down the crack pipe. They have no suspension, but they do have a large payload capability.

If you wanted it to build into a camper unit for touring, it would be ok, no rocketship, but ours was right on the weight limit with a crew of 4, full water, and equipment.

as bogges sid we use them in the RFS, they do the job, and would be fine for touing, but they are pretty guttless and would want to fit a turbo etc
If the above post did not offend you in any way please PM me so I can try harder!!

i have a customer who has a canter it is his only car uses it every day, only time he has problems is when the ground gets too soft but that stops most large 4bs he goes up the beach all the time and loves it ,goes to cruiser park and it works well, the only thing u will have to do is a turbo and suspension mods if you want some flex out of tit will never be as good as a cruiser or patrol but he is very happy as it is different doesnt climb sand dunes very well but most big heavy trucks dont ,if you like it and are prepared to live with a truck go for it
