Help... difficult to change down the gear.
Help... difficult to change down the gear.

I am facing some problems changing the gear down. In my case, its difficult if not almost impossible to change down to 2nd and 1st gear from 3rd upwards unless the speed has been sufficiently reduced. Any ideas anyone?

Don't discount the "oil" theory just yet. It's worth a go. When ever I've had gearbox problems on the many cars I've owned, I've changed the oil in them to Redline MTL and vastly improved most of the problems. It's a way cheaper attempt to fix than yanking out a Nissan box....

Thought it would be a cheap fix like changing gear box oil or something. Looks like I will have to live with it till it's time to change the clutches and do up the syncromesh at the same time.![]()
