Hey guys and gals,
just wondering why i'm geting vibration at the steering wheel at about 80k/h - 90k/h? i have 2' lift but i have all ways had that lift and its only just happend, could this mean that i just need a wheel allinement or new bushers???
any help would be grate...

the 2 foot lift is almost certainly your problem!!!!
look in the bible or search - its been covered about 3 million times.
It could be any of the bushes, incorrect castor angle or wheel balance (they seem to be very sensitive to this once lifted)

mine had it when i removed my old front bar and winch i got new bushes wheel alignment balance and such helped but was still there after a few months of driving ( weekends mainly ) it had droped to very intermitent and infrequent.
on the weekend put a winch back on and the wobble is back but only when cold once driving for 10-15 all is good
so all in all i have learnt to live with it.

I find if I put my right foot in the car first and stare directly at the sun It doesn't vibrate.. But if I get in Left hand side first it does... ???
No honestly I don't have a shimmy. 4" coils + 5.5 degree castor plates. Brand New Genuine Bushes in my adjustable Panhard and Radius Arms. Snake Racing Drag Link. My front end is held together well.

My patrol had this problem when I was running Khumo tyres. It worked out to be, after many dollars & heart ache that the plyes were separating on the tyres. They balanced fine but as the wheel rotated slow on the balance machine you could see the run out.

get your tyresballanced ON THE CAR at a truck tyre place, GQs and to some extent GUs are very prone to shakes especially when you lift them, check the bushes and always replace with genuine as they are softer and allow flex and movment more readily and dont flog out near as quick, when you are getting the ballance done also do a wheel alignment and you should find the shakes go away, also check the steering dampner, castor should be fine, but I have heard fo people putting castor bushes in and fixing the prob although I tend to think this is more due to the old byshes being stuffed rather than the castor being incorrect as 2" should not require any castor correction, and with 33s (if you have them) should mean the castor is well within the exceptable range, feel free to PM me any Qs if you dont understand my ramblings

mine had a pretty horrible wobble at 90 - 100 k's when it was totally stock.
I found that the radius arm bushes were totally flogged out so I threw a 4" lift and set of OME castor bushes in and it reduced the wobble drastically. I recently replaced the 31's with a set of 2nd hand 33" MT/R's (fitted and balanced on my rims) and the wobble has disappeared completely - it almost drives like new!!
so it seems to be an accumulation of things, check/replace bushes and get the tyres properly balanced (shouldnt need to have it done on the car though), maybe even try someone elses wheels or swap front to back and see if it helps?

yeah it was a tyre problem i tock it to the tyre place to get him to change the front to the back and he spoted it right away i had like 5cm or 8cm of mud caked on to the inner side of the left hand fron wheel witch had through the whole lot out of place...any way that what he said theres still a slite problem,
but i can live with it
