Re: wasn't
yeah but petes truck is really a truggy (and in hindsight, so was sams bazook)tuf045 wrote:wasn't pete antunac's crusier tubed and stuff before sam's?
dunks cj was more tube than petes 40 at the time. anyone got any pics of matts jeep ?
Thats not the Tracktor. That is Trevor. And Micks 40 series has a 9" in the rear with a D44 up front.
The tracktor Rod Owens Red Tube Buggy.
And i would never have looked at Sams old zook as being anything like a Tube Buggy.
You say you would qualify it as a tube buggy because he cut the rear 3 feet off the frame and tubed it. My old hilux had more tube than that and i would not qualify that as a tube buggy. The way i usually look at it is if its still got part of a frame and a factory firewall then its only a Truggy.
As far as im aware Matt Dunk from Trailcraft built the first full tube rock crawling buggy in Aus.

Apart from the pedal box and the steering collum attached to the fire wall, everything else is attached to the chassis or tube, seats and all, or do I have to have airshocks for it to be a buggy.
just as much a buggy as any of those mentioned that have any part of a box section chassis left

It still has the zook floor pan,The zook Firewall and part of the Zook tub Correct?
If soI would class it as a Truggy.
Actually a Zuggy as the word truggy came from a tubing out a Toyota. Toyota+ a lot of Tube= Truggy instead of a buggy.
Rods original Half Rover Half Tube set up was known as the Ruggy.
