Hi All,
Just thinking about starting out in 4WD, I've got a Feroza SPV 92 model. Its pretty much standard, Apart from a slighter larger set of wheels. Any input on How good the SPV is? Places I could go to have an easy test drive? Any basic mods that could be done to it? and Any "Necassary" mods that SHOULD be done to it?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

So where do you live? It's a bit hard to suggest places to go test driving without knowing.
There are a lot of people on here with lots of mods done to their Ferozas . Mine's pretty well standard, but so far I've been impressed with some of the places it can go even with highway tyres.

You'll never be able to drive anything like Porters, that was a very extreme trail.
With regards to mods, remove the front anti-sway bar, gives a bit more wheel travel. Suspension lift (2.5" is max with wound up front torsion bars) will get you 235x75r15 tyres no worries, add a 2" Body lift to go to 31" Tyres.
Extractors, better airfilter for a bit more up n go (and better sound). If you want to go a bit more hardcore, get the front diff welded, but have a search around this board for how this is going to affect driving. Find and fit an LSD to the rear.
For areas to drive, the central coast has some great areas, watagans, ourimbah, that stock feroza's don't have an issue with, but definetly have fun on. Also suggest not going alone in case you get into trouble.
Search the net for Boilingbilly 4wd books, they have some great trips out of Sydney to do. Also think about Lithgow area in the Blue mountains (out the back of the zig zag).
