driving without cv's

Post by redlux1 »

i need to do a drive of around 1000km's and just want to make sure that after my cv exploded  on the weekend that doing that type of distance with the axle and cv removed is not going to damage anything else. as far as i see it it should be fine but just want to make sure.

Its no great problem to drive without the CV in but just be awear that without the CV Diff oil can get out through the hole left behind into the bearings. I usually stuff a rag in to slow this down.
