CV grease

Post by burner »

(not sure what happened to my first attempt at this post, my apolagies if it shows up later)

My query is; how much grease do you put inside the CV boot. Why; the clip holding the boot on broke, exposing the CV joint. Got a new clip, but how do I know if the CV joint/Boot has enough grease ?

thanks...burner

How much did it lose?, splattered arround the place, if you are worried buy a small tube and squeeze it in, you can't realy overfill it.

not full, there maybe a smoke packet full of grease in the sachet that comes with a CV, I like to put in a little more so another sachet wouldn't hurt.
