G`day Brian , if it`s only out of interest seems they can .

If your after a set , the part number is STC 1961 .

Possibly a 3.5 or 3.9 set would fit but don`t know . Do know if using the earlier timing cover etc that an ordinary 3.5 cam will fit all Rover V8s also the P76 .
So the inside dia of the bearings are the same only the outer dia would need measuring .

What book is it that says they can`t be replaced ?
I have read this myself somewhere but don`t remember where .

I haven`t tried to get the bearings myself but do know they exist .

All the best , peter .

Thanks Peter
The book is Haynes Range Rover 1970 to Oct 1992[up to K registration]
page 1.15 , 23 camshaft- inspection
I will have to look for a 4.6 engine manual on cd, I have just about every other rover book or cd but this one
