Paj Big lift

Post by padero »

hi, i want to do a big suspension lift im thinking about 100mm or 75mm

any ideas on how can get this and where from ?

its a 1993 swb, coil rear, ifs, 3L

i already have the up / down air suspension that rises the truck about 50mm standard and i'd like to keep that it i can, im sure i have seen Monroe shocks with that options just having differculty rembering where

i would do a small body lift as well but have herd that its not very easy on auto transmission

thanks

HI,
You'll run into problems with SWB going that high in a suspension lift with the angle of the ujoints and everthing in the driveshafts. Pretty common is two inch and then the front can be 'wound up' to match, any more and you run into the limits of the IFS front. Then if req'd do a body lift, they are easier to do on an auto than a manual, with a manual the transfer lever needs some bending - remodelling, there's heaps on here about that thou.

What szie tyres are you wanting to run?

if you plan to put in 33x25.5r15, torsion bar lift and shackles at the rear will do or 2in coils at the back.....that's about it but the shocks will reach its limit. anything over 2in will need a change to the shocks.
