Yes i know it is illegal in QLD but i live on the NSW border, and am moving north to maroans country. If i keep my SWB MQ registered to NSW but live in QLD, will i get hassled by the boys in blue?

if its registered in NSW..... as long as you have it engineered and legal in NSW, then regardless of where you are they cant pull you for the SOA, they may pull you over cause its lifted, but show your cert and rego papers etc and you will be fine.....

but cops being cops, may still try to get you on mudflaps or tyres or something......

i remember a thread a while back, stating that QLD cops, can make you trailer it back to NSW, even if your mods were engineered, but they dont deem them acceptable,

you can only come to QLD for 3 months b4 changing your rego over........thats the legal requirement and i dont know how they would prove when you moved, but if ya bills and that are going to a QLD adress. i dunno if they would go that far but just so that you know.

If you are going to leave the rego in NSW, see if that person or family member will let you rego it in there name and you cover the costs. I did that ages ago when i was having a bit of trouble with my ex, that way she couldnt touch it :finger:

Well my folks live in Tweed Heads (NSW) and my lisence and rego will b addressed there, so thats covered. But dont want to pay for an engineers certificate cause that will cost almost as much as i paid for tha car! Wil that cause me any probs?

What about when you hit a pedestrian and they die and your up for Scanas charges because your vehicle was not engineered, still doing it right???
