Yup there was a very fine line between pleasure and pain!
Watching the video you can see there was only a matter of a couple of inches difference, i believe Mick was also going over but he nailed it (also the rig had more power and trottle response) just at the right time!
By greg holding the strap it did help, but if i was on the same line as ruff greg would have landed in the crowd!

One thing I have to say, I believe ruff deserves a lot of cred for continuing to compete in the rest of the stages. I'm not sure on the details of the vehicle damage, but to come down THAT hard, (without an exo) carry out repairs with little resources, and compete without missing a stage, shows great competitive spirit and courage. This rollover cost ruff a lot of coin, and effectively sidelined him for a few important competitions. I felt pretty awful when it happened, as I like to think my presence doesn't hinder driver's or spotter's focus. If I'm in the way, it's my fault if I get hit - simple as that (no aiming please). Hope to see you competing and freestyling soon, RUFF.
I beleive Dave has his reasons. Wether we all agrea on his reasons will make no difference. They are his reasons and only he can decide who should be filming these events.
But i do have to say from what i have seen of both Video companies Troy has a much better presented video and the action shots do seam a lot better. He also does not only film Events he will go out of his way to film even the smallest day drive or club comp even if called on the morning of the run/comp as long as he is not allready booked.
We have spent a lot of time with Troy and his Wife Nyree and they are fantastic people that are totaly commited to bringing the audiance the best possible quality they can from there videos. Troy is also a mad keen offroader who is involved in the sport of Rock Crawling as much as the next guy. He is also one of the founding members of the Queensland Rock Crawling Association that just not long held there first event Q-rock at easter which i beleive was a great success.
If anyone is looking for a Videographer especially when it involves anything to do with offroading i couldnt recomend anyone better than Troy. Even if its not Offroading i beleive he also does Weddings and basicaly anything you need to get on film.
