I have a 1.3 and looking at putting a snorkel on and just wondering if i do a 1.6 conversion later if the snorkel will still be ok on the drivers side?

assuming you mean sierra 1.3, & Vit 1.6, yeah, you will have to switch sides later on. Due to the airbox being on the passengers side in the vits. That said, you could probably run a longer air flo around the engine bay or something, i havnt seen it done before tho. I dont know how it would impact your air intake either, by increasing the distance it has to travel.

my mate just did a vit 1.6 carb sawap.
ya could still make the standard carb top thingi fit with a bit of playing around so then you could still run your snorkel on the drivers side.

just run dual snorkels and switch which side the pipe runs from... unless you can be bothered connecting both sides up properly

I have seen the 1.6tbi setup with the metal intake for the throttle body and that could turn and go both directions depending on the engine bay config.

cheers

Which side is best for driving visibility, in your opinion?
