Torsion Bar crank and Sh*t itself!

Post by Miyagi »

well i finallty got around to winding up the torsion bars tonight, trimmed the bump stops down now and she looks hot, cant wait to test it out this weekend....

ah ha...

problem...

on the way home from the workshop it kept stalling whan reving down and wont idle at all if very little, after closer inspection it appears to either be lack of fuel ( possible gunk build up in the throtle body or injecters )
or air leaking in somewhere....

got til sat morning to sort it out.

anyone had any similar issues? could really use some input with this one.

cheers

Daniel

If you have only been mucking around under the car doing the torsion bars check to make sure you have not damaged the fuel filter next to the torsion bar adjusting nut on the passenger side of the vehicle.

or

what else have you been stuffing around with ????????

I'd check fuel filter first also ISC motor could be in need of cleaning which is pretty easy.

well its done it again :bad-words: :bad-words:

now starting to think its the idle speed control motor, good thing is i picked up a box of spare parts recently.

I pulled it off the throtle body and it was filthy!!! no wonder it shat itself again.

i replaced it with one i pulled of a spare throtle body last night, seems ok, couldnt test it much (got a flat tyre and the spare is not balanced (rolled of the bead last time out)

i'll post a pic of the old ICU just for gigles :)

cheers
