06 Grand Vitara Prestige, 2" lift, Kumho A/Ts, ARB winch bar, snorkel, spotties. Also a Regal 2150 LSC Volva Penta 350 gsi duoprop, and a kayak ;-)

Yeah well if someone wanted to help with a SOA I would do it. Otherwise a 4WD shop said it will cost around $2000 to $3000.

their quality control is rubbish cause of the need to get low on price. My fronts had way too much set from day 1 and the rears sagged so the nose of the truck was sitting in the air. 1 side sagged quicker than the other... this is a common prob though. Also they started to separate from the packs once they got about 2yrs old. Ride is rough as the quality of steel is garbage.

Need i go on, spend your money wisely!

The main reason for doin a spring over is i used the standard springs cause they flex good and havent sagged in 25 years. Ull be payin $2000 for a proper decent suspension lift anyway.

I used tough dog gear, been flogged for five years and still good, mate got kings but they were over set and inverted the shackles and do not buy Iron man!!!!

I do have enforcer. Got them for a good price, which was the deciding factory. The rears are a little low (sagged a fraction I think), and I've removed a leaf from the front pack, which is working a lot nicer. They haven't been on a year yet, so can't talk about durability, but I'm happy so far.

Editted to add: When I went through the same process of gathering opinions on spring brands, the response was pretty clear - everyone has their favourite and their "must-avoids", but every brand falls into both categories for some pair of people. In the end, every manufacturer gives you the same deal: ours are the best because we have this brochure, but the truth is, they are all curved bits of metal which will perform much the same. Various usage patterns and bad runs will give various performance problems. In the end, find someone who is convenient, well priced, and will honour their warranty!

Couple of pics of the movement I'm getting now. Currently very happy with the way they flex. Certainly not a great deal of flex, but the movement is accommodating and predictable. Ride isn't too bad (for an MQ). Have extended shackles on the way, which will change things again a bit.

ENforcer are not a good idea - my mate fitted em to his LWB as a budget driver with 2 inch spring lift, over the next 6 months we had it replaced 3 times, packs sagged at rear within weeks and handled like crap, rough uncomfortable ride (compared to other leaf sprung MQ lift kits it was shocking)

My mate has Kings springs in his old one (very flexy and very contorlled on road) my other mate put a set of rock crawlers in - again, better handling on road than stock and better flex and I used a custom set of ultimates which are magic all together.

Will any of these MQ 2" sping kits fit onto a 97 leaf srpung GQ ute?

Just looking around, but im thinking that a leaf over axle might be better if i want life over 2".

Any opinions?

I want 3-4" lift with springs, was going to reset the old man emu i think they are in it which seem to be 2" lift to start with (albeit 10yo). I'm sitting and listening.
