Would you buy one of these?

Post by G_loomis »

I am in the canvas industry and over the years I have made many things...But I have had this thought running through my head for quite a while and figure why not ask the targeted audience if this product would be a plausable option.

Instead of just running a cheap ass poly tarp across the front of ya truck when going thru deep water/mud...I was thinking of making custom made/fitted (to suit truck) bow wave tarps. These would be made from high strength ripstop vinyl in a choice of colours. And if required could be made to hook right underneath ya truck (at front crossmember)...making the engine bay one big air pocket!

Attaching them would be a quick and easy process.

Granted they are for people who do a lot of deep water or mud crossings...but even if ya dont...they would last a lot longer than a super cheap super sh!t tarp!

Let me know what you guys think.

P.S Patent Pending :D

P.P.S I also make custom size bags, cargo rack bags, canopies, tonneaus, camper trailers and just about anything else you may need.

thats something similar to what I was thinking...but mine would be a more custom fit! Tailor made to suit the vehicle if you know what I mean!

The bags are no dramas at all.

I am on the southside of brisbane...near Beenleigh if you know where that is.

In the Moke Club, we used clip on water crossing tarps, particularly on Cape York trip...Works well, and simple to fit, and cheap to buy/or in our case have made.
