steering wheel options?

steering wheel options?
hi guys,
i need to put a new steering wheel into my F20, cause at the moment with the big bus driver wheel it came with i have to squeeze in and out of the car between my new seats and the bottom of the steering wheel.
i was wondering if anybody knew how difficult it is to change over a steering column, cause they dont make boss kits for the old girl anymore!
and which steering columns may be interchangeable?
thanks guys

The Saas boss kit number for the F75's is 155. You may still have to space the wheel out a bit to miss the centre nut on the inner column.
Alternatively, check the original wheel. If the centre hub, under any plastic that is there, has all the bits attached for the indicator return, then you may be able to cut the centre out of that wheel, effectively making it the boss, and then either redrilling the centre to suit the new wheel, or even bolting/welding another larger plate to it, then redrilling that plate to suit the wheel.
I have the Saas 155 boss, and a Saas wheel fitted.

Firstly - sorry for digging up and old thread, but I am going through the same drama's at the moment
Ripped out the old standard $hitty seats, as they were well dead, and managed to pick me up some VC Commo seats for $50 in Lime Vinyl - and they are basically mint condition, but now with these seats if i go to put my foot on the brake / clutch then i rub the top of my leg on the bottom of the "bus like" steering wheel.
Now - i notice you can "make" a suzi or charade boss kit fit, but I am curious, how much harder does it make it to drive with the smaller wheel and no power steering??
My little F20 is slowly coming along, just need to do electrics / rust now and a bit of paint and she will be as good as new!! oh yeah - and the starter motor ... hahaha

Nice choice of colour !!! I had the same prob with some Hyundai seats, I got sick of looking through the window wiper, I scored a Honda Accord to wreck, and put the Honda seats in it -> its still a tad too high but better, manual wrote: Ripped out the old standard $hitty seats, as they were well dead, and managed to pick me up some VC Commo seats for $50 in Lime Vinyl - and they are basically mint condition, but now with these seats if i go to put my foot on the brake / clutch then i rub the top of my leg on the bottom of the "bus like" steering wheel.
I put a sheepy seatcover on it and thats even too high now.. must be another 10 mm higher The Honda seats have swags of clearance underneath so lowering is on the cards, but will need to be clean cut and tig'd back up as the mounting is also the rear seat part holder, Commy seats are huge dude... compared to the wafer thin ridgy F20 seats, I'd be lookin for some small car seats, like a charade or similar.
