Post by goodo4x4 »

G'day All

The motor armatur on my winch has died. Can anyone suggest on the cheapest place to get a replacement?

I'm located in Melbourne.

Thanks guys.

The motor is showing open circuit. This is because I overheated the motor when it had a siezed bearing and melted all the solder joints at the armature.

A mate is re-soldering the joints for me. So we'll see if it works after that!

Hopefully it only costs a couple of bottles of ouzo!

Hi guys

this is just a quick update. Mal Leslie has rebuilt the motor and done a few other mods along the way to improve the winch performance.

Now all i need to do is get it back in the car and get out there and test it.

regards Michael
