Funny you meantion that. At Vic winch Dad bent his drag link and snapped his steering stabilizer in half. We straightened out the drag link but couldn't borrow a steering stabilizer. So Dad had to drive home from Warragul to Box Hill with no stabilizer, and had zero wobbles or shimmy ( He had a slight wobble at 70-80kmh on the way down). Even the diagonal expansion joins on the Freeway bridges, driven over at 110kmh, didn't cause a prob. He is still driving without it because he is chasing up if you can get a replacement damper for the RTC stabilizers because the one he busted was only 1 month oldShadow wrote:stabiliser isnt really all that necessary and is really only to stop major shunts to your steering, ie potholes and stuff.

ok cheaked out all my stearing/suspention bushes there all like new nothing rong with them at all.
tho my passanger side has no weights on the tyre and all the others have about 60g of weights
doupt this is enough to cause this issue
its odd tho i`ll be driving allong then all of a sudden shakes REALY violent around 80km/h and i have to stop then go again
dostn happen all the time tho..
only sometimes. its rare .
but i would hate for it to happen at 110 down the freeway.
will get wheels balanced tomorro and see how it goes but yeh its a realy odd thing i carnt see any issues with bushes anyware.
could the power stearing pump have sumthing to do with this? it is leaking ever so slowly.

first things first, get your wheels ballanced, GQs are proce to wobbles caused by wheel ballance issues, and sometimes they will need to be dome at a truck place on the vehicle. depending on the tyres you are runniong it may be worth getting them tab ballanced. ACE tyres at smithfeild are the best for this, they cost arounf $60.00 per wheel fo this though.
The chances are this will ix our death woble isue, particulaly if you have checked bushes etc, but generally bushed will not be as bad wobble wise as out of ballance tyres.
If tyres are not the issue, check all the rod ends etc and bushed and failing that and dependng on lift you may need to look at drop boxes or arms.
if the wobbles are minor it could be bump steer and you would need to check the steering dampner and mayne look to a HD RTC type dampner
