Are vitara ome springs really renamed kingsprings?

I've been told vitara ome springs are really just king springs with the ome brand and extra $ slapped on. Anyone know if this it true?

no it is not true. OME are their own brand manufactured specifically for OME

I don't think that that is any evidence that Belton make the OEM springs for Vitaras.
They might be able to supply OEM parts to Suzuki, but who suzuki use at any one time would only be known by suzuki and the supplier themselves. I don't think there is any relevance in us knowing.

However, I know that most of the steel and alloy castings in suzukis come out of Hitachi works, If that helps!

OME use their own springmakers as far as I am aware, and I was of the understanding that OME's spring maker didn't have a design facility - they just make to order. This would make sense so there are no in house designers to steal the designs and flog them off as their own.

Are we talking about OME - Old Man Emu or OEM - Original Equipment Manufacturer, because they are two very different things

Considering how stiff the Kings are in the Vut and how soft antt's OME's were (althought hat is a LWB) I'd say not.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like ome are different and are probably the better option. I want a nice ride (well as nice as you can get with a swb). I already have ome in the front and they're good.
Any other options i should consider?
Don't want a huge lift, just to match the ome front. My current rear springs are too long, atleast an inch higher than the front.
