hey i have a 94 suzuki vitara carby

just recently when i start my car it idles fine but when the engine gets warm and its idleling the engine is rocking side ways a fair bit and it shakes the hole car and my exuasht is sounding differant.

i havnt thrashed it or taken it off road recently just normal driving.

could this be a problem with my carburattor? may need to be cleaned...

its begining to concern me since its continueing to run this way.

any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

my money on vac leak!
get a can of carbi clean and spray it around manifold and stuff. u will know when she sucks it in! it will die!

carbi clean? you can just buy that from local auto store?

vac leak? is it a serious problem? and expensive? :(

il buy some of that carbi clean tommorow and try it.

i bought a bottle of injector/ carby cleaner and put that in my fuel tank. il see how that goes. =(

Mitch, u can also get the carby cleaner spray by crc brand or nulon and spray around any of the hoses and bolts of the carby, an see if the idle goes up or down.

oh ok i just went into my local super cheap auto shop. didnt say a spray can version. probadly missed it.

is that like the ethonal trick ? just spraying ethonal gives a idle change in revs?

il have another look for that crc carby spray then. cheers

Mine does that..... Vac prob..... check all the vac pipes.... isolate the spot with wd or something.

i have found that a small backfire will blow my pipes off...!!

I used to have an old kombi which had the same problem - it turned out to be a vacuum tube that had come loose (fallen off) - couldn't find it for a few days cause access is limited in the enigne bay of kombis, but once i put it back on it was fine. Mine was mainly at idle; when you got the revs up a bit it was fine, but when it idled it felt like everything was just going to rattle loose. Good luck finding your problem

but i bought my car wanneroo way. haha

i checked my hoses and all conected. il try the ethonal trick tommrow.

i thought it may possibly be the points also

=( dont seem to have much luck with my suzy

hey my car is idelign fine. seemed as though the carby clean fluid did the trick.
