The SWB patrol on boggers that launched out of the first hole late on sunday was a highlight, plenty of air under all wheels

Ok here goes,
Friday night 1st up we had the compulsory winch SS2, smooth run with no hitches. Next up SS3 short twisty run in the dark, we posted the second fastest time when we ran, with 18 trucks to go. Then the last night Stage SS1 for us was the log, not a great stage and no idea how we did.

Saturday Started on SS9 where we had a ball driving the step gully and only winching at the rocky steps. SS4 was a long fast stage with off camber corners and a bog hole half way, we just made it through the bog hole. SS5 we should have driven but a wrong choice of gear stopped us near the top of the climb leaving us with a short winch. (Still learning what the car can and cant do after this years alterations). SS6 tight and twist heaps of fun. SS7 launched it big time over the log between the trees looked at the sky for far too long but drove the stage. SS8 the winch wall and bog hole, winched twice posting a respectable time but drove the last part after the bog hole with one read drum seized on.

Sunday Started with SS11 steep down hill run through the bog hole and twice round the loop, before crossing back through the bog hole and up the steep hill. Hooned the lot posting the second fastest time in our group and 3rd place overall. got a medal for it too  SS12 bog hole and a twisty bit followed sprint up the short hill, posted second fastest time after two groups had gone through and remained unbeaten taking second over all and another medal  SS10 Drove the rocks winched the bog hole and drove the hill to the crowds amazment. :D

So all in all we finished 12th overall after friday night dropping to 19th on the Saturday the fast stages on Saturady not suiting the leaf sprung 2f and my error on SS5 did not help but we hung in there with clean smooth driving. Sunday was to be our day leaving us in 9th overall

We took highest placed carbi too

Huge thanks to Ben for doing all I could ask of him and more. Its really is a team effort.
Also a big thanks to dave for all the work hes has put into the truck and been the support crew, as well as minding the kids on the day.
Gary too for all the spare parts we borrowed from him but then again its a Toyota and we needed none

Any one has pics of me feel free to email them to matthew.mcinnes@bigpond.com

Hey guys,
just wanted to say thanks for a great weekend. It was our first comp and we had a ball. If anyone has any pics of car 30 - the 75 series with Cheezy rear end and "Maroondah Roofing" written all over it could you please post them up for us? We didn't get many. I have a few of some other cars if anyone needs them.

Cheers
