From myself and on behalf of Julie, thanks to everyone for the positive feedback. We really get a buzz from hearing that people enjoyed the event. Naturally, there were mistakes made. But, these errors can ultimately only help to grow and better the event.

Big congratulations to Team TT Challenge Nissan. Great win guys, against the odds and all. Considering the problems you guys had actually getting a team together. I know first hand, because I had Steve (striped tomato) sending me message after message to ask if I knew of anyone looking for a drive. Well done guys, hope to see you all back again next year.

A massive thank you to all our sponsors, without who the event just wouldn't happen. These guys dig deep into their pockets, and deserve recognition. Bega Rd Wreckers, On Track 4WD Centre, Lee's Exhaust and Mechanical, One Stop Suzi Shop, Trackabout Campers, Phones 'N Alarms, ARB Southside, Waeco Fridges, Extreme 4X4, Car-Pliance, 4WD Off-Road Wreckers, Redlands 4WD Centre, Hammonds Jeep and 4WD, TJM Slacks Creek, Sunshine State 4WD, Black Finance Group, Underwood Autos, Great Escape Camping, All 4X4 Parts, Barrett Shopfitting, and for any others I've forgotten at the moment, I apologise but I don't have my paperwork with me. (For once!! )

Thank you also to all of our officials. Remember guys, these guys and girls have volunteered their time to help run this event for your enjoyment. They don't deserve a mouthful if they happen to make a mistake. We had a lot of officials that were not only non Logan club members, but had never officialled before. So, there was bound to be the odd error in judgement.

A big thank you to Greg and Kate at Black Duck Valley. Both of them, and their staff were great not only on the weekend, but in all the lead up work. I guess it's the behind-the-scenes work that people don't see that I appreciate them so much for. Countless phone calls on my behalf, a mountain of hours on excavators and tractors, and feeding and keeping my helpers hydrated during the set up weekends.

Sorry for the rant guys, but I just want people to realise that these events are the culmination of a lot of people's hard work, blood and sweat. Not just Julie and myself. This year's organising committee also had Chris Ierssel (scrun) and Shane Sheraton. These guys have put in massive efforts in the last 6 months, and it is much appreciated.

Thnks again to absolutely everyone; sponsors, competitors, officials and spectators. We had a stressfull weekend, but we still had a great time.

It did on sunday!

Much fun watching all the 2wd utes/vans trying to exit the back paddock....

I vote for Scotty (83lux) as best recovery of a truck in the campground, seriously.. it wasn't the only vehicle he helped outta a sticky spot.

Marshy and Julie, Congrats on another top event. From our point, things ran alot smoother this year with minimal waiting times in between stages. All stage marshalls were clear with instructions and consistant with judging. It was a real shame about the rain but you can't control everything so well done on another top weekend. We will definatly be down again next year on our mum's tyres to kick trackabout's butts again. lol. Thanks John and Brad from Trackabout for the party sunday night.

Thanks to all the teams who made it and a special congrats to the podium finishers.

All our cars made it home on tuesday night (all though one was towed home the whole way and the others were smoking and ratling) after a relaxing night at cooloundra monday night.

And thanks to our team for a top effort and going strong all weekend, and also our sponsors Advanced Phones, 4wd Repair shop, ARB, Greg Ward Plumbing, Rockhampton Tint-a-car and Automatics Unlimited.

Cheers Team Confusion

Hey Davo Smoking yes but rattling? We couldn't hear it over the external wastegate... the sucker is still pulling like a train... just gotta check the oil.

Thanks to Trackabout and the remaining members of the Zuke team for coming and parting with us Rocky boys. We had an absolute ball except does anyone know were that bottle of rum went to? It was there at 10 and empty at 10:15!!! You trackabout boys had a bit to do with that...

But we will be back next year... we might even try to bring a larger set of tyres... Jas is talking about putting 33's on his ute for next year!!!

Johnny you'll have to bring the crew up to Rocky next year if we get our own event happening...

trip report

Logan Challenge 2005
Things were not looking good leading up to the Logan Challenge as two of our team had to pull out and most other regular competitors were already in a team.
Steve in his red GQ extra cab ute with 37 kreepys had to find another navigator as his usual one couldn’t make it but fortunately Darren stepped in for him.

Linc in his green GQ ute with 38 kreepys had his usual navigator Ian ready to go and myself [Shane] and navigator Chris were all set in my red GU ute with 37 kreepys.

Trent [Lincs brother] and Grant in the yellow hilux with 37 claws stepped up in the last week or so and had a real hard time with no power steering.

BJ and Chris in the pink dual cab hilux with 33 cooper stt’s also stepped up late in the piece … chris had never even driven a 4wd let alone navigated for one but did a great job although he was heard to say “your gunna drive up that ???â€

Mandy can you get Antt to host and post more of your footage and photos if you have em. I would like to see more of everybody's action cause we didn't get to see any other teams compete as I mentioned earlier.
