does any body know how to fix the fuel gauge on a hilux. After i fill up it shows im empty after doing about 100km

sounds like a faulty sender ,the unit in the tank

remove the terminal of the sender unit and put it to ground/earth, have somone in the cab to tell u if the gauge has gorne from empty to full
if that happens generally the gauge is ok and the prob is the sender unit

u take the sender unit out u can test it by connecting the wires back to it and move the lever on the sender and have somone in the car tellin you the position of the gauge to were the sender unit is

Thanks for the tip i'll check it out :) I've posted the same question in general discussion in case the non toyota lovers know if could be anything else.
