Its probably posted somewhere here and I've missed it but did anyone see Mark French's portal axle prototype for the patrol?. I thought it was a very very good jigger. it offers 4"of lift without altering any of your regular geometry and works the same way as unimog axles do. I for one will (barring obscene cost) be slappping down some splash after he has finished testing.
Have to say the 4WD show was a BIG yawn , it was more like a Aussie disposals trade show. I went hoping to see good rigs and ingeneous solutions to the mad things we subjects our buses to. instead i felt like i was on a kath and kim shopping bus.
Anyway the best bit of the show was definetly Marks hardwork getting this prototype axle made.
that dropped my jaw... ... I was thinking 4k to 6k can I ask what your mail is, or more accurately where its from I asked very nicely and he wasn't saying boo about pricing

just in case i'm not on the same page these castings bolt on the end of your axles where the bearings used to bolt on??? the diffs arn't touched and you use the same discs and bolt them onto the bottom of the portal hub. Is this wrong??? the only other differnece was the possibility of different rims to counter the increased offset
