SIMEX ET II Feedback

Post by Jay »

Wanted to give a feedback on the 36x12.5"-15 Et II I have been running for almost a year now....I am running it at 6-8 psi and the tyre is performing very well on rocks, mud and hard/soft sand....Have yet to try it snow...
While it is not as self cleaning as the ET I in mud the outer lugs remain clean and have good traction

On road hadnling is much better and I am runnign the rear tyres unbalanced only have balanced the front and the death wobble effect is ok/ acceptable at 62-75 mph

I saw the Trxus performing this weekend and it is a tyre that i will never consider buying....the threads die in no time and the tyre does have the grip I want

Hi, what pressure are you running on the road?

I have 35" ET1s at the moment but will be on 36" ET2s (on portal axles) by the end of the year.

I have found anything under 33 PSI for the ET1s lead to rapid tyre wear on the road.

Cheers

Richard,

what do you consider rapid? I'm running 18/15psi front/rear on my 90 for highway use (lower for the mud) and the ETs have now covered over 15000 miles. Fronts are now noticably down but rears still look good for as much again!

I run 25-30 psi with the ET II on road and they seem to take it oksay.

The wear on the Et II will be less as they have a wider contact area with their additional center lug and 12.5" contact area

ET I will wear out more quickly if dirven on tarmac a lot altough I am still running a set of 32x9.5-16 ET I on my Rangie

15 PSI on the road! Mine wore the edge off all the lugs within 200 miles on the road at 25 PSI.

At 33 PSI I got hardly any wear after a couple of thousand miles.
