Re: brake line reccomendation
money must burn a hole in your pocket. you dont need longer brake lines for a 3 inch lift. just bend the mounting bkts . its works a treat & save your money for something more important i have done at least a dozen 3 inch lifts this year & no problemsblade828 wrote:ive just lifted my gq 3" and now need some extended brake lines, will probably go braided. can anyone reccomend a place in S.E melb and approx price?

Try and find a local brake specialist to make one up for you. $50-$75 for the rear.
I am pretty sure you can use your existing rear brake line on the front if you buy a longer rear one.
If you can't be stuffed looking I will sell you one for $65+freight($6).
Of course you can bend it also. I must admit I bodged mine like this but I am a cheap skate.

Croydon Advanced Brake and Clutch. Highly recommended!
The older dude there looked after me. Had all 6 lines (2 mains longer and 4 caliper standard length) replaced with stamped and approved braided lines for $260, fitted, system bled, the lot. I nailed him down on the price so you may not be able to match my price but it won't be far off. This was for a GU.
If anyone pays $75 per line you're a dumbass, shop around, the most I got charged per line was $40 for the long ones and $30 for the caliper lines. The hose is not expensive, it's the fittings on the line and testing time.

Re: brake line reccomendation
i don't know about you mate, but i spare no expense when it comes to brakes. I have TJM rubber extended lines for my 2.5" suspension lifted hilux. I would go braided if i was going to keep the vehicle.JOHNZ wrote:money must burn a hole in your pocket. you dont need longer brake lines for a 3 inch lift. just bend the mounting bkts . its works a treat & save your money for something more important i have done at least a dozen 3 inch lifts this year & no problemsblade828 wrote:ive just lifted my gq 3" and now need some extended brake lines, will probably go braided. can anyone reccomend a place in S.E melb and approx price?
